Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Asia Pacific Research Manager to join our rapidly growing practice to be based out of our Hong Kong office – (with a considerable training period at our office in Cambridge, MA (USA)). The ideal candidate will oversee the work of one or several Analysts and Senior Analysts and is responsible for ensuring that work is completed in line with expectations and in a timely fashion. In addition to managing existing product lines, the ideal candidate will be responsible for product development. The Manager is expected to take an active role in driving new business, working closely with our Business Development Directors and the Director of Regional Research, to whom the manager will report.
Experience/Requirements:

A minimum of five years of experience in research and analysis of the telecommunications or media industries, with a focus on trends shaping the Asia-Pacific region

Excellent logic and analytical skills – both quantitative and qualitative

Strong project management experience

Track record of managing a team of 3 or more individuals

Sales orientation and entrepreneurial mindset

Ability to develop forecasting models

Ability to actively contribute to the team and take responsibility

Excellent writing and presentation skills

Impeccable business skills

Master’s Degree in economics/telecom engineering/management

Fluency in Mandarin and/or Japanese is required

Ability to multi-task
