Jose Manuel Mercado is a Senior Analyst in the Latin American group for Pyramid Research, based in Cambridge, MA. His activities include researching and consulting the Latin American telecommunications industry.
Before Pyramid Research, he worked at Frost & Sullivan as a consultant for the LATAM region in the ICT sector. Before his engagement in the consulting industry, he worked as a Strategic Planning Manager at TVAzteca in Mexico City. The main activities were related with revenue management, pricing and customer’s spot shares within time inventory. Prior to joining the broadcasting sector he worked at Ericsson in Mexico as a Service Procurement Manager. His activities were related with the final execution of the projects to the customers and the management of the hand overs. In addition, he conducted several statistical analysis for the main carriers in relation with SLA’s in the GSM and transmission services.
Jose holds a bachelor degree in Economics for the ITAM (Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México) with a minor in econometrics.
