Mr. Pafumi is responsible for managing the relationship with Pyramid’s clients across Latin America, Europe and USA. He is in charge of detecting and developing business opportunities, providing advice on business strategy as well as managing many Pyramid key customers.
In his 7-year tenure at Pyramid Research, Mr. Pafumi has worked on a wide variety of consulting projects ranging from market sizing and market segmentation to market entry strategy and new product positioning to valuations, due diligence and partner identification projects, among others. He regularly presents to C-level executives during strategy meetings as well as leading enterprise clients of both telecom operators and vendors. As part of his role Mr. Pafumi is quoted regularly in publications across Latin America and Europe.
Prior to assuming his current role, he has had a successful tenure during 10 years at Telefonica where he held several roles including top positions in Strategic Marketing and Finance. Mr. Pafumi also held strategic roles as Manager at Regulatory Affairs Department where he provided strategic counseling on telecommunications regulation and policy to the Board of Directors. Mr. Pafumi was a company liaison with Argentinean Government where he was actively involved in the designing and implementing the new Regulatory framework for the Argentine market .
Fernando graduated from his MBA (University of Pittsburgh), in Finance and Business (University of California at Berkeley). He also obtained his MS in Civil Engineering from Universidad Catolica Argentina in 1991.
In addition to his native Spanish, Fernando is fluent in English and Portuguese. He travels throughout the year across US, Europe and Latin America maintaining constant interaction with key Telecommunication market players.
