Cambridge, Massachusetts - June 16, 2010 - Pyramid Research’s Stela Bokun will present a statistical analysis of market trends and growth sectors in Central and Eastern Europe at Capacity CEE 2010, taking place in Prague from June 28-29, 2010.  Pyramid (www.pyr.com) is proud to be a partner of this event.

Capacity CEE is fast becoming the most important telecoms event for the Central and Eastern European wholesale markets. Providing the optimum forum for learning about the latest market developments, this event also has a strong networking focus, which remains one of the core reasons for attracting a wide range of carriers, service providers, ISPs, content companies and mobile operators from both the CEE region and international markets every year.

As Pyramid’s Senior Analyst for Europe, Stela Bokun will present the current status of the Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Ukraine markets, including demand drivers, the impact of retail and end-user demand on the wholesale sector, and the adoption of NGNs and migration to IP.  She will assess the growth sectors and the most lucrative services, technologies and applications, followed by future growth predictions.  She will be available to discuss these topics and more during the event.  To schedule an onsite meeting, please contact her directly at sbokun@pyr.com.

Czech Republic: Data Service Growth to Offset Loss of Mobile Voice Revenues
Country Intelligence Report
Voice services remain the most important application in the Czech Republic telecom market, however, with the surge in popularity of data and video applications, voice revenue share will decrease by seven percentage points through 2014 with data revenue share growing from 26% in 2009 to 32% in 2014.  This expansion of data will be driven by strong demand for mobile and fixed broadband services encouraged by the operator’s attractive promotions.

Slovakia: By 2014, 70% of Total Mobile Subscriber Base to Use 3G
