Cambridge, Massachusetts, October 21, 2010 - Pyramid Research’s Gerardo Sandoval will moderate the panel, The Crossroads of Telco: Redefining the Business?, at Andicom-International ICT Congress taking place in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, October 27-29, 2010. Andicom-International ICT Congress is an annual project sponsored by the Telecommunications Research Center of Colombia (CINTEL), unique in the region through its format as an Academic Congress with the support of a commercial exhibit and an excellent environment to promote businesses. Andicom has proudly reached its 25th edition, having become the meeting point of the industry of Information and Communication Technologies in Latin America and the Caribbean with the support of international entities, such as the World Bank, the IDB, the IEEE, the OAS, the ITU, and US Commercial Service, among others.
As moderator, Gerardo will review aspects of higher incidence in the development of telcos to generate strategies for creating a viable business model for network deployment, content generation, and new services that allow sustainable development. As the manager for the Latin America region at Pyramid, Gerardo applies Pyramid’s core analytical approaches and methodologies in order to work on economic forecasting models, analytical reports, and consulting engagements.
