The Dutch telecom market is forecast to generate $16.0bn in service revenue in 2010. VoIP is the fastest growing segment, forecast to grow at a CAGR of 12.1% between 2010 and 2015. Mobile data is the second fastest, with a CAGR of 9.3%, followed by fixed broadband at 6.0%. We expect dial-up Internet service revenue to disappear altogether from 2014, and circuit-switched voice is declining rapidly. Despite market consolidation over the past few years, competition remains strong, particularly in the fixed broadband market, which is being driven by higher-speed network investments. Furthermore, with Tele2, UPC and Ziggo offering high-speed mobile broadband, broadband competition will remain intense.
