The Peruvian telecom market generated $3.7bn in 2010, and we estimate it is going to be worth $4.1bn in 2011, an 8.7% increase due to the increase in mobile data services and fixed broadband. We expect the market to maintain growth levels above 5% annually in the following five years. The fastest-growing segments will be mobile data, fixed VoIP and broadband Internet. Mobile voice, although slowing down, will remain the main source of revenue, and fixed broadband will continue growing to become the second source of revenue in 2016. The national broadband plan will drive the adoption of broadband access. Traditional fixed circuit-switched service revenue will decline to account for 13% of total market revenue in 2016, down from 19.8% in 2011.
