Maritza Morales Mobility and Broadband Practice Leader
Maritza Morales is the principal analyst of Pyramid’s Mobility and Broadband practice, covering the Americas. She examines competitive strategies and innovative business models of the leading mobile operators and analyzes the industry’s growth drivers, 4G network deployments and mobile market trends in the region.
Maritza’s current research interests include global best practices in LTE go-to-market strategies, the evolution of broadband in Latin America and successful adoption & partnership strategies in mobile payments/mobile financial services (MFS).
Maritza has over 20 years of experience managing strategy and market analysis projects within the evolving telecommunications industry, across developed and emerging markets globally.
Prior to joining Pyramid Research, Maritza worked as Director of Market Planning for Research in Motion (BlackBerry) and Director of Strategy and Business Intelligence at Motorola, where she spearheaded global research efforts, with a focus on Latin America. At Motorola, Maritza benchmarked competitor and operator strategies across key Latin American markets and analyzed Wireless Infrastructure developments for their Corporate Strategy division. Previous to that, she oversaw a number of emerging market sizing and ‘due diligence’ projects in support of joint venture investments for the Worldwide Network Services Division.
Maritza holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin and is fluent in 3 languages.
