Daniel Ramos is a Senior Consultant for Pyramid Research, based in Boston, Massachusetts. Daniel’s expertise in business consultancy stems from over 13 years in market research and marketing positions within the telecommunications industry in North America and Latin America.
Daniel has led numerous consulting and marketing engagements assisting operators and equipment vendors in identifying growth opportunities, staying informed of industry trends and developing strategies for new product initiatives. Some of his projects cover the following topics:
Development and implementation of an IP telephony and wireless migration strategy for 47,000 SMEs in Canada;
Analysis of the hosted IP-PBX market size, trends and competitive environment in the enterprise segment, utilities and government sectors in Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica and Brazil;

Prior joining Pyramid Research, he co-founded the consultancy firm eXpancom Inc., which helped Canadian mid-sized companies develop strategies to penetrate and develop business in Latin America. He also worked for Bell Canada as Marketing Manager for the SME segment, focusing particularly on the IP migration strategy in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. He was a Market Research Manager for Harris’ Microwave Division, completing market studies in 15 countries in Latin America. Daniel’s industry credentials include the title of Latin American Advisor for the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance.
Daniel holds a BSc in Management from Universidad de Costa Rica (1996), an MSc in Market Research from HEC, Montreal (Quebec) (1999), and an MBA from the Fondacao Getulio Vargas (FGV) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2009). He was also an exchange student at the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba, Argentina, and the Tecnologico de Monterrey (ITESM), Monterrey, Mexico (1999). He speaks Spanish, English, French and Portuguese.
