Guy Zibi manages the Pyramid Research Consulting Group and is based in Boston, Massachusetts. He has more than a decade of experience in researching and analyzing the business of technology in developed and developing economies around the world. As the head of the Consulting Group, Guy oversees Pyramid Research’s custom project team and drives the company’s thinking into new business models to reach the next billion customers.
He was previously Managing Director with AfricaNext Investment Research, a telecom equity research consulting boutique, where he led research and managed projects around carrier due diligence, wholesale capacity markets and new carrier models.
Prior to managing AfricaNext Research, Guy was Director of Pyramid Research’s Communications Media and Technology (CMT) practice, overseeing the company’s research in the convergence, MVNO, media and technology spaces. As Director of the CMT Practice, Guy managed a team of consultants tasked with developing and executing the company’s research into new technologies and innovative business models at a global level (VoIP, MVNOs, triple play, telecom/media convergence, mobile profitability in emerging markets). In prior years, Guy also acted as Director of the company’s EMEA research practice and is widely recognized as a foremost expert in TMT markets in growth economies. Guy has acted as the lead consultant for due diligence projects in Africa on the buying and lending sides, spearheading financial and operational due diligence projects on the operations of fiber, mobile, fixed and Internet service providers in emerging markets.
Guy holds a Master of International Business from the Business Administration School (Institut d’Administration des Entreprises) of Lower Normandy, France, and a Bachelor of Science in International Commerce from the Université de Haute-Alsace in France.
