Despite slowing revenue growth in the European mobile enterprise market, Pyramid Research believes operators should continue to focus on the lucrative business sector because of its higher profitability, relatively low levels of churn and strong demand for mobile data services. We expect the enterprise segment in our sample of seven European countries — Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania and the UK — to reach 37.5m subscriptions in 2013, from 33.9m in 2008. Mobile enterprise revenue will amount to €16.3bn (US$22.4bn) in 2013, driven by subscriber growth in mobile broadband computing services and M2M.
